  • Men's Track Athlete of the Week - Samuel Gerstenbacher, Elizabethtown
    April 29, 2019
    (Jr., Pittsgrove, N.J.) Elizabethtown junior Samuel Gerstenbacher was sixth in his section and 18th overall at the 125th Penn Relays in a crowd of Division I competitors Thursday evening in the men's 3,000m steeplechase. Gerstenbacher broke his own school record with the 8th-fastest steeple time in Division III this season with a 9:08.71. He also led off the Blue Jays' 4x800m relay on Saturday at Penn. The two-mile relay finished 17th overall and broke 8:00 with a 7:58.80. Gerstenbacher split a 1:58.85 to lead off the team.
     
  • Men's Field Athlete of the Week - Ryan Harper, Moravian
    April 29, 2019
    (Jr., Audubon, N.J.) Moravian junior Ryan Harper placed sixth in the hammer throw at the non-scoring Carol & John Covert Classic with a PR toss of 48.79 meters (160-1). Harper also finished seventh in the shot put with another PR toss of 14.15 meters (46-5.25).
     
  • Women's Track Athlete of the Week - Carly Danoski, Moravian
    April 29, 2019
    (Jr., Clarks Summit, Pa.) Moravina junior Carly Danoski led the Greyhounds with a runner-up finish in the 1,500-meter run in a time of 4:48.40 at the Carol & John Covert Classic at Lehigh University.
     
  • Women's Field Athlete of the Week - Sydney Detky, Elizabethtown
    February 03, 2020
    (Freshman, Sharpsville, Pa.) Elizabethtown freshman Sydney Detky tied for fourth in the high jump on Friday at the NYC DIII Invitational held at The Armory. Detky cleared 1.50m (4'11") at the meet and tied for seventh in program history at the height. She also competed in the unseeded 60m dash, taking second in 8.56, which is the seventh-fastest time run in school history.
     
  • Women's Field Athlete of the Week - Andrea Galeano, Catholic
    April 29, 2019
    (Sr., Stratford, Conn.) Catholic senior Andrea Galeano placed first in the hammer throw (36.35m) and shot put (11.23m) at the Eagle Invitational. The seniors throw in the hammer ranks first in the conference heading into this weekend's championships. Her shot put mark ranks second.
     
  • Men's Track Athlete of the Week - Samuel Gerstenbacher, Elizabethtown
    April 22, 2019
    (Jr., Pittsgrove, N.J.) Elizabethtown junior Samuel Gerstenbacher won the 5,000m at the York College Twilight Meet this past Wednesday. Gerstenbacher ran the fastest 5k in the Landmark this season, 14:54.79, and is the only runner to break 15 minutes in the event through the weekend. His team also put him on the program's all-time list at sixth.
     
  • Men's Field Athlete of the Week - Chris Petraskie, Susquehanna
    April 22, 2019
    (Jr., Shamokin, Pa.) Susquehanna junior Chris Petraskie now holds the top marks in the Landmark in three different events. On Saturday at the Greyhound Invitational, hosted by Moravian College, Petraskie finsihed fifth in the high jump with his mark of 1.90m and was fourth in the long jump (6.65m).
     
  • Women's Track Athlete of the Week - Azia Kalil, Juniata
    April 22, 2019
    (Jr., Methuen, Mass.) Juniata junior Azia Kalil shattered the 10,000m school record by 55 second at the Widerner Invitational. Kalil crossed the finish line with a time of 37:51.2, which is also the fastest time in the Landmark this season.
     
  • Women's Field Athlete of the Week - Caroline Banas, Scranton
    April 22, 2019
    (Jr., Dallas, Pa.) Scranton junior Caroline Banas won the high jump on Wednesday at the King's Holiday Invitational by clearing the bar at 1.60 meters. The junior's mark was her best of the spring and ranks second in the Landmark Conference this season.
     
  • Men's Track Athlete of the Week - Greg Jaindl, Moravian
    April 15, 2019
    (Jr., Macungie, Pa.) Junior Greg Jaindl set the Moravian, Landmark Conference and Coach P Invitational meet record in the 1,500-meter run Saturday with a winning time of 3:53.54, currently the 12th fastest time in the nation this season. Jaindl also ran the anchor leg of Moravian's B 4x400 meter relay squad that finished 13th in 3:30.02.
     
  • Men's Field Athlete of the Week - Dylan Heisey, Susquehanna
    April 15, 2019
    (Jr., Harrisburg, Pa.) Susquehanna junior Dylan Heisey ranks third in the River Hawk's record books in the discus after Saturday. He set a personal record with a throw of 42.53 meters. The mark also ranks at the top of the Landmark this season.
     
  • Women's Track Athlete of the Week - Melissa Fitzgibbon, Elizabethtown
    April 15, 2019
    (Fr., Landenberg, Pa.) Elizabethtown freshman Melissa Fitzgibbon ran the Landmark's fastest 1500m time of the season on Saturday at Messiah. She was third overall in 4:50.58.
     
  • Women's Field Athlete of the Week - Kelli Garriott, Elizabethtown
    April 15, 2019
    (Fr., Hampstead, Md.) Elizabethtown freshman Kelli Garriott already owned the indoor high jump record, and, after Saturday, now owns the outdoor record as well. Garriott had the Blue Jays' best individual performance at Messiah with a second-place finish in the high jump. Garriott cleared 1.63m (5'4-1/4"), the Landmark's best by over three inches. She also picked up long jump and finished 19th at 4.33m.
     
  • Men's Track Athlete of the Week - Samuel Gerstenbacher, Elizabethtown
    April 08, 2019
    (Jr., Pittsgrove, N.J.) At Division I Princeton's Sam Howell Invitational, Elizabethtown junior Samuel Gerstenbacher impressed after he finished 8th in the steeplechase in a time less than five seconds away from his school record. Gerstenbacher ran 9:16.15 in the event.
     
  • Men's Field Athlete of the Week - Darby Bauer, Goucher
    April 08, 2019
    (Jr., Perkiomenville, Pa.) Goucher junior Darby Bauer finished third in the javelin, fourth in the hammer and 12th in the discus at the Battlefield Relays over the weekend. Bauer became the first Gopher to toss the hammer over 40 meters and he did it twice on the afternoon. The junior posted his best throw on his first attempt with a distance of 42.36m to destroy the program record that Lovell Kosh (38.32m, April 27, 2012) set at the Landmark Conference Championships in 2012. Using feet to measure, Bauer beats Kosh's program record by 13 feet. After the record-setting hurl Bauer had three fouls, but then would have broken the school record with his next two attempts, throwing the hammer 39.48 on his fifth attempt and 41.17 on his sixth and final attempt. He finished fourth in the hammer. Bauer finished up the day with a third-place standing In the javelin with a chuck of 36.00m. He then placed 12th in the discus (29.58m) on Saturday.
     
  • Women's Track Athlete of the Week - Anna Osman, Moravian
    April 08, 2019
    (Sr., Trevorton, Pa.) Moravian senior Anna Osman won the 400-meter hurdles at the non-scoring Muhlenberg College Invitational in a time of 1:06.60, and she also ran the leadoff leg of the 4x100-meter relay that took first place in 50.88 seconds. Osman also placed third in the 100-meter hurdles in 16.57 seconds.
     
  • Women's Field Athlete of the Week - Taylor Gunter, Goucher
    April 08, 2019
    (Jr., Laurel, Md.) Goucher junior Taylor Gunter won both the discus and shot put while finishing fourth in the hammer at the Battlefield Relays over the weekend. Gunter set a new program standard in the discus with a hurl of 37.66. She also won the shot put with a throw of 11.49m. She tossed the hammer 36.38m to finish fourth on Friday.
     
  • Men's Track Athlete of the Week - Jonathon White, Susquehanna
    April 01, 2019
    (Fr., Mohegan Lake, N.Y.) Susquehanna freshman Jonathon White posted two top-two times in the conference this season at the Jim Taylor Invite. In the 100-meter dash, he ran 11.50 and followed that performance up in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.25.
     
  • Men's Field Athlete of the Week - Shane Mastro, Moravian
    April 01, 2019
    (So., Middletown, N.J.) Moravian sophomore Shane Mastro captured the discus at the Lafayette College 7-Way Meet with a toss of 45.22 meters (148-4), the seventh best throw in school history. Mastro also finished third in the shot put with a toss of 14.47 meters (47-5.75).
     
  • Women's Track Athlete of the Week - Sara Arbogast, Susquehanna
    April 01, 2019
    (So., Selinsgrove, Pa.) At the Jim Taylor Invite, Susquehanna sophomore Sara Arbogast posted two top-three finishes. In the 100-meter dash, she placed third out of 41 runners with a time of 12.72. In the 200-meter dash, she bested 35 runners to take second with a time of 26.53. Both her times in the 100 and 200 meter dashes are the top times in the conference thus far.
     
  • Women's Field Athlete of the Week - Taylor Gunter, Goucher
    April 01, 2019
    (Jr., Laurel, Md.) Goucher junior Taylor Gunter recorded three Top-12 finishes at the Jim Taylor Invitational that featured teams from NCAA Division I, II and III along with several Landmark Conference schools. The junior finished ninth (5th among DIII schools) in the shot put with hurl of 11.14m, 11th (5th among DIII schools) in the discus with a chuck of 35.87m and 12th (6th among DIII schools) in the hammer with a toss of 40.37m. She was the top Landmark Conference performer in all three events. Her throw in the discus was a personal best and ranks third in program history while she has the top throws in the outdoor season for the shot put and discus and second best in the hammer.
     
  • Men's Track Athlete of the Week - Sam Niles, Elizabethtown
    March 25, 2019
    (Fr., Carlisle, Pa.) Elizabethtown freshman sprinter Sam Niles had a great day at the Early Bird Opener. Despite the cold temperatures and constant gusts, Niles ran 11.41 to take second in the 100m and dipped below 23 seconds in the 200m for a second-place finish in the 200m at 22.97. He also ran a leg on the winning 4x400m relay that ran 3:32.30.
     
  • Men's Field Athlete of the Week - Ryan Harper, Moravian
    March 25, 2019
    (Jr., Audubon, N.J.) Moravian junior Ryan Harper finished third in the hammer throw with a career-best toss of 46.52 meters (152-7) as the Greyhounds began the 2019 outdoor season at the West Chester University Golden Ram Invitational.
     
  • Women's Track Athlete of the Week - Kiera Lyons, Catholic
    February 25, 2019
    (Sr., Harwood, Md.) At the Goucher College Classic, Catholic senior Kiera Lyons posted three top-five finishes. In the 400m hurdles, Lyons crossed the finish line in 1:12.92 to capture first-place. She placed second in the 3000m steeplechase (12:14.56) and helped the 4x400m relay team to a third place finish (4:28.82).
     
  • Women's Field Athlete of the Week - Kylie Orndorf, Juniata
    March 25, 2019
    (Sr., Milheim, Pa.) Juniata senior Kylie Orndorf had four top-five finishes at the Juniata Invitational. The senior placed first in the javelin (40.0m), second in the shotput (10.06m), second on the dicus (33.65m), and was fourth in the hammer throw (37.94m). Her javelin throw ranks first in the Landmark and to date, is eighth in all of NCAA Division III.
     
  • Men's Track Athlete of the Week - Greg Jaindl, Moravian
    February 18, 2019
    (Jr., Macungie, Pa.) Moravian junior Greg Jaindl set his second school record in eight days by winning the mile run at the Keogh Invitational hosted by Haverford College with a time of 4:18.18. The time is the fastest in the conference this season.
     
  • Men's Field Athlete of the Week - Scott Goodwin, Moravian
    February 18, 2019
    (Sr., Sinking Spring, Pa.) Moravian senior Scott Goodwin finished as the runner-up in the pole vault at the Kutztown University Last Chance Qualifier at a height of 4.60 meters (15-1). His mark is the best in the conference this season.
     
  • Women's Track Athlete of the Week - Kiera Lyons, Catholic
    February 18, 2019
    (Sr., Harwood, Md.) Catholic senior Kiera Lyons recorded the fastest time of all Landmark Competitors at the meet in the mile on Saturday. The senior posted a time of 5:28.60.
     
  • Women's Field Athlete of the Week - Ryleigh Edmonds, Susquehanna
    February 18, 2019
    (So., Elizabethtown, Pa.) Susquehanna sophomore Ryleigh Edmonds set a new school Pole Vault record at the SU Invitational. She posted a mark of 3.21m, breaking the previous record of 3.07m. It is also the top mark in the conference this season.
     
  • Men's Track Athlete of the Week - Greg Jaindl, Moravian
    February 11, 2019
    (Jr., Macungie, Pa.) Moravian College junion Greg Jaindl set a school record in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 8:33.92 in the invite race of the Fastrack National Invitational at the Ocean Breeze Park & Athletic Complex where he placed 18th overall.
