Renno was near perfect from the floor over two games, hitting 15-of-19 shots, including a 9-for-10 effort against the Cardinals on Wednesday where she had 22 points and 14 rebounds. The first-year forward finished a rebound shy of a second consecutive double-double on Saturday with 12 points and nine boards in the Jays' win at Susquehanna. Women's Athlete of the Week - Abby Anderson, Scranton February 14, 2022 Anderson registered a pair of double-doubles in a 2-0 week for the Lady Royals who extended their winning streak to 15 games. The Scranton, Pa. native started the week with 15 points and matched her career-high with 17 rebounds in an overtime win at Drew before adding 15 points and 12 rebounds in a crucial Landmark win at Elizabethtown to give the Lady Royals a two-game lead at the top of the conference standings. On the week, she averaged 15 points and 14.5 rebounds to go along with 11 total assists, four steals, and three blocks. Women's Athlete of the Week - Summer McNulty, Elizabethtown February 07, 2022 Elizabethtown freshman guard Summer McNulty shot an impressive 65 percent from the field this past week as she helped guide the Blue Jays to three wins in three games, including two on the road at Catholic and Moravian. She started the week with 21 points in Etown's overtime win at Catholic, shooting 8-for-14. She posted 20 points at home against Goucher, hitting 10-of-13 shots. To cap the week, McNulty netted a season-high 25 points at Moravian as Elizabethtown improved to 9-1 in the conference with the win. The freshman averaged 22.0ppg for the week, also hitting 50 percent from three-point range and knocking down free throws at a 75-percent clip. Women's Athlete of the Week - Kayla Yoegel, Moravian January 31, 2022 Yoegel helped Moravian to a 2-0 week in Landmark Conference action as she averaged 23.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game to go with four blocked shots, three steals, and a pair of assists while playing 61 of 80 minutes. She was 19-for-32 from the floor (59.4 percent), 4-for-7 beyond the three-point line (57.1 percent), and 5-for-7 (71.4 percent) at the foul line. Yoegel had a career-high 33 points to go with eight rebounds, three blocked shots, and two steals in the Greyhounds' 74-63 win over Susquehanna University while shooting 13-for-21 from the floor and 4-for-5 on three-pointers. She then had 14 points and nine rebounds in a 66-56 victory at Goucher College. Women's Athlete of the Week - Joey Meyers, Drew January 24, 2022 Meyers averaged 23.0 points, 10.7 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 1.3 steals per game while shooting 62.5% from the field in a 2-1 week for the Rangers. She posted a double-double in all three games and started the week with 23 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists in a 70-59 loss to Elizabethtown. She followed up with 22 points, 11 boards, and four assists in an 83-68 victory at Susquehanna before closing out the week with 17 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, and four steals in a 77-42 win over Juniata. Women's Athlete of the Week - Erin Doherty, Catholic January 17, 2022 Doherty scored a season-high 21 points, recording her second 20-point game this season and the fourth of her career as No. 23 Catholic University handed Drew University, who was receiving votes in the latest D3hoops.com top-25 poll, its first loss of the season Saturday, 58-52. She finished three points shy of her career-high set in an 81-66 win over Drew at home on March 4, 2021. Women's Athlete of the Week - Abby Anderson, Scranton January 10, 2022 University of Scranton graduate student Abby Anderson matched her career-high with 27 points and added 15 rebounds for her third double-double of the season as the Lady Royals outscored Juniata by a dominant 45-16 margin in the second half en route to the 78-50 victory. She shot 50 percent from the field on 8-of-16 shooting and added an assist, two steals, and one block. Women's Athlete of the Week - Veronica Christ, Elizabethtown January 03, 2022 Elizabethtown guard Veronica Christ guided the Blue Jays to a pair of wins over ODAC teams at the Susan Dunagan Holiday Classic at Roanoke College. Christ put up 25 points in 27 minutes against the host Maroons Wednesday night in a 78-63 rout. She came back a day later to post a career-high 29 points on 11-for-22 shooting (5-for-9 3PT) to help Etown defeat Lynchburg, 79-76. Christ shot 45 percent for the tournament and 41 percent from beyond the arc while knocking down 90 percent at the foul line. She averaged 27 points and six assists at Roanoke and added a pair of steals of blocks in the wins. Women's Athlete of the Week - Abby Anderson, Scranton December 27, 2021 Anderson scored a career-high 27 points on 11-of-19 shooting and helped lead the Lady Royals to the Hilton Scranton Poinsettia Classic Championship with a 60-47 victory over TCNJ on Wednesday. For the week, Anderson averaged 18.0 points and 10.0 rebounds in two games. Women's Athlete of the Week - DaniRae Renno, Elizabethtown December 20, 2021 Elizabethtown freshman forward DaniRae Renno put up a huge double-double for the Blue Jays in last Tuesday's non-conference game at King's (Pa.). Down double digits in the second half, Renno went 9-for-11 from the floor between the third and fourth quarters to help Etown charge back and force overtime with the Monarchs, erasing a 10-point deficit after three quarters. Renno then had six in the overtime period and finished the night with 27 points along with 11 rebounds, her third double-double of the season. Women's Athlete of the Week - Erin McQuillen, Susquehanna December 13, 2021 McQuillen helped the River Hawks to a pair of victories last week, as she scored 14.5 points while connecting on 63.6 percent from three-point land. McQuillen scored 11 points while going 5-for-11 from the field in a 64-55 win over Lancaster Bible on Wednesday, and followed that up by tying the school record for three-pointers in a game with six against Marywood on Saturday, going 6-of-7 from three-land en route to a game-high 18 points in a 76-42 win over the Pacers. She also finished with 7.5 rebounds per game and 3.5 assists per game for the week. Women's Athlete of the Week - Veronica Christ, Elizabethtown December 06, 2021 Elizabethtown graduate student Veronica Christ hit the 20-point mark for the second time this season and was in double figures in both games for the Blue Jays this past week. She led Etown with 21 points at York (Pa.) last Monday, grabbing eight rebounds and dishing out five assists. In Saturday's Landmark win over Susquehanna, Christ had 16 points and tied a career-high with four blocks. She also secured six rebounds along with two steals as Elizabethtown moved to 6-1 overall. Women's Athlete of the Week - Sekya Campbell, Drew November 29, 2021 Campbell played the role of super-sub for the Rangers, coming off the bench to average 17.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game while shooting 55.6% from the field in a 2-0 week. She posted a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds to go with three assists in a 60-37 win at FDU-Florham, then notched 18 points, nine boards, and three helpers while shooting 7-for-11 in a 70-52 win over King's. Her efforts helped Drew improve to 6-0 for the first time since the 2009-10 season. Women's Athlete of the Week - Rachel Bussanich, Catholic November 22, 2021 Bussanich led the team in scoring and rebounding last week en route to leading the Cardinals to their fourth title in the last five regular-season tournaments as they won the Pablo Coto Tip-Off Tournament hosted by Marymount (Va.). She was named to the all-tournament team after averaging 13.5 points and 9.0 rebounds and posting her second career double-double on Friday. Two of Catholic's three wins last week came on the road against Salisbury and Marymount, both of whom were receiving votes in the D3hoops.com Top 25 preseason poll. Women's Athlete of the Week - Bridget Monaghan, Scranton November 15, 2021 Monaghan started the week by hitting five three-pointers in a dominant win at Marywood on Thursday and capped things off by becoming the third person in school history to hit eight three-pointers in a game to match the program record. The junior buried the eight threes and scored a career-high 30 points as the No. 12 Lady Royals held off a late rally by No. 9 DeSales in the 74-68 win. On the week, she averaged 22.5 points while shooting an impressive 48 percent from the field, and added six assists and three steals. Women's Athlete of the Week - Erin Frederick, Drew November 08, 2021 Frederick scored a game-high 19 points on 9-of-16 shooting and pulled down nine rebounds to lead the Rangers to a 65-48 season-opening win over Stockton. She also scored her 1,000th career point, becoming the 13th player in program history to reach the milestone.
