  • Men's Athlete of the Week - Dillon Farrell, Moravian

    (Sr., North Wales, Pa.) Farrell placed fourth of 337 runners in the Open Race at the Princeton University Invitational, finishing the 8,000-meter race in a season-best time of 24:37, just two seconds shy of his school record set on the same course last fall. Farrell had the second fastest time for a NCAA Division III runner in the two races at the meet, finishing just one second slower than a runner from Haverford College that ran in the Championship Race.
  • Women's Athlete of the Week - Ashley West, Susquehanna
    October 20, 2014
    (Jr., East Hampton, N.Y.) West placed seventh overall at the Gettysburg Invitational on Saturday. She finished the 6,000 meter race with a time of 23:17.4. The Crusaders finished third in a field of 30 teams.
  • Men's Athlete of the Week - Dillon Farrell, Moravian

    (Sr., North Wales, Pa.) Farrell, running on an 8,000-meter course for the first time this season, finished the Goucher College Cross Country Classic in 29:15.15, winning by 14 seconds to lead the field of 82 runners in the men's race. The win was Farrell's second of the season.
  • Women's Athlete of the Week - Allyson Kopera, Juniata
    October 13, 2014
    (Fr., Hastings, Pa.) Kopera won her second event of the season for Juniata. She helped the Eagles take third place out of 11 teams that competed in Saturday’s Goucher Classic. The freshman runner won the 6,000-meter race with a time of 25:02.
  • Men's Athlete of the Week - Paul Crowe, Susquehanna

    (Sr., Boalsburg, Pa.) Crowe ran an 8K personal best on a rolling and wet course at Lehigh for the Paul Short Run. He finished in 25:41 as the 11th NCAA Division III runner across the finish line and 27th overall in the Brown Race. Crowe knocked more than 22 seconds off his previous PR.
  • Women's Athlete of the Week - Amelia Tearnan, Elizabethtown

    (Sr., Towson, Md.) Tearnan was back in the top 30 for the fourth straight meet and inside the top 20 for the third time this season Saturday at the Geneseo Invitational. She just missed running a personal best in the 6k, finishing in 22:28.8 to place 19th overall out of 286. Tearnan's finish helped E-town finish fifth in the team standings.
  • Men's Athlete of the Week - Dillon Farrell, Moravian

    (Sr., North Wales, Pa.) Farrell was the top NCAA Division III finisher and was fourth overall in the 4K short race at the Dickinson College Long/Short Invitational with a time of 12:01.25.
  • Women's Athlete of the Week - Lydia Dearie, Elizabethtown

    (Jr., Sykesville, Md.) Dearie's strong start to the season continued this past Saturday at the Dickinson Long/Short Course Invitational. Dearie was the lone Blue Jay runner to finish in the top ten in either race, placing ninth out of 301 competing in the short course race. She covered the 4,000-meter course in a new 4k personal best of 14:52.74.
  • Men's Athlete of the Week - Alex Price, Susquehanna

    (Sr., Skytop, Pa.) Price led Susquehanna at Penn State’s Spiked Shoe Invitational on Saturday. He finished the 5.2 mile course in 27:16 to finish 40th amongst the 133 competitors. The Crusaders placed ninth out of the 11 competing teams, defeating two Division I schools in St. Bonaventure and Mount St. Mary's.
  • Women's Athlete of the Week - Ashley West, Susquehanna

    (Jr., East Hampton, N.Y.) West finished the Penn State Spiked Shoe Invitational 6K race in 22:59 on Saturday. The junior led the Crusaders with a 41st place finish amongst 131 runners. The Crusaders faced competition from seven Division I teams and two Division III teams, including preseason No. 10 SUNY Geneseo.
  • Men's Athlete of the Week - Corey Wasilnak, Scranton

    (Jr., Endwell, N.Y.) Wasilinak was the first Royal across the finish line Saturday at the Vassar Invitational. He placed 22nd in a time of 21:25.36 on the 6000-meter course during hot and muggy conditions. Scranton combined to finish fourth as a team.
  • Women's Athlete of the Week - Amelia Tearnan, Elizabethtown

    (Sr., Towson, Md.) For the second consecutive week to begin the season, Elizabethtown senior Amelia Tearnan led the Blue Jays with a top-ten finish. This past Friday night at the Galen E. Piper Open at Shippensburg, Tearnan navigated the 4K course to run a new personal best at that distance. The Towson, Md. native took ninth overall in 15:10, ten seconds better than her previous PR, which also came at the same meet in 2013. She was one of two Blue Jay runners in the top ten as E-town finished fourth in the team standings amongst Division II and Division III opponents.
  • Men's Athlete of the Week - Dillon Farrell, Moravian

    (Sr., North Wales, Pa.) Farrell had a winning time of 18:26.61 on the 6,000-meter course at the season-opening Lehigh Invitational, finishing 0.68 seconds ahead of the first runner from Lehigh in the 76-runner field. In fact, the next runner that wasn't from the host Mountain Hawks or unattached didn't finish until 20th place. Farrell helped the Greyhounds score 71 points to edge out rival Muhlenberg College for second place as the Mules scored 88 points.
  • Women's Athlete of the Week - Ashley West, Susquehanna

    (Jr., East Hampton, N.Y.) West led the way for Susquehanna at Bucknell’s Bison Open on Saturday. She finished eighth in the 3-mile race after posting a personal-best time of 17:53. West was the top Division III runner and finished 51 seconds before the next closest Division III competitor.
