TOWSON, Md. – The Landmark Conference selects 22 senior scholar athletes each year to recognize the top student-athlete in each sport based on academics and athletics.
The honorees must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20 and are selected by a committee of Landmark Conference officers, athletics directors, senior woman administrators, faculty athletic representatives, and sports information directors.
Isaiah Blatt of Susquehanna University was voted the 2022-23 Men's Indoor Track & Field Senior Scholar-Athlete. He is the sixth River Hawk to earn the honor.
Athletically, Blatt is a five-time All-Landmark selection, a five-time NCAA Mid-Atlantic All-Region selection, and has been part of two conference indoor track and field championship teams.
In the classroom, Blatt carries a 3.90 grade point average as a bio chemistry major. He has been recognized on the Susquehanna Dean's List seven times, has been on the Landmark Academic Honor Roll every year he has been eligible, and is a three-time selection to the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team.
Blatt serves as the Treasurer of the Gamma Sigma Epsilon Chemistry Honors Society and is a Molecular Biology Laboratory Research Assistant. He is additionally a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta Honors Society. He is also a member of the S-STEM Society.
