TOWSON, Md. - Molly White of The University of Scranton has been selected as the Division III Commissioners Association (D3CA) Region V Female Student-Athlete of the Year, becoming the first female student-athlete in Landmark Conference History to earn the regional honor.

White, who was named the 2025-26 Landmark Conference Female Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year, ended her collegiate career achieving athletic and academic excellence, while serving the community through leadership and service.

“Receiving the D3CA Regional Student-Athlete of the Year award is an incredible honor and something I’m extremely grateful for. Over the last four years, I’ve been fortunate to be surrounded by teammates, coaches, professors, family, and friends who have encouraged me to grow both as a student and an athlete. This recognition represents not only the work I’ve put in, but also the support I’ve received along the way. I’m proud to represent The University of Scranton and the Royal community, and I’m incredibly thankful to everyone who has been part of this journey,” said Molly White.

A Communications major with a minor in Sports Communications, White graduated from Scranton with a 3.91 grade point average. She was recognized as a Dean’s Scholar and earned membership in Alpha Sigma Nu and Rho Tau Eta honor societies.

On the track, White established herself as one of the top multi-event athletes in league history. She earned First Team All-America honors in the Pentathlon during the indoor season, and was a Second Team All-American selection in the Heptathlon during her outdoor campaign. She additionally earned 2026 Landmark Conference Indoor Field Performer of the Year honors.

“There are few student-athletes more deserving of this recognition than Molly, and I could not be more proud to see her receive it,” said Landmark Conference Commissioner Katie Boldvich. “Her accomplishments at Scranton speak for themselves; she is an All-American, a conference champion, an exceptional student and a leader across campus. But what has always stood out to me most about Molly is the person she is. She is the one who is always encouraging others, helping wherever she can, and making a point to connect with those around her. I have had the opportunity to watch Molly compete at so many Landmark championships throughout her career, and she represents everything you hope for in a Division III student-athlete. She is an incredible athlete and an even better person, and there is no doubt she will be successful in whatever comes next.”

White captured 10 All-Landmark selections during the 2026 indoor and outdoor seasons, and set league records in both the Pentathlon (3,558 points) and Heptathlon (4,850 points). She also helped the Royals to conference indoor and outdoor titles.

“This is another well-deserved recognition of Molly’s outstanding academic and athletic career, which has been defined by her commitment, hard work, and constant pursuit of excellence. She is incredibly deserving of all the recognition she has received, and becoming the first female student-athlete from the Landmark Conference to earn D3CA Regional Student-Athlete of the Year is a tremendous accomplishment. This award is a testament to the impact she has made and how her extraordinary achievements stand out among an incredibly talented group of student-athletes,” said University of Scranton head coach Jon Cutright.

“Watching Molly become one of the top athletes in the nation over the past few years has been a true pleasure,” said Scranton Interim Director of Athletics, Randy Shemanski. “Her hard work and determination as an athlete are equaled only by her excellence in the classroom and in our community. And she is a true pleasure to be around and someone who exemplifies what it means to live The Royal Way.”

Beyond athletics, White made an impact across the Scranton campus and community. She completed an internship with the University of Scranton Athletics Department and served in leadership roles as President of the Rho Tau Eta Communications Honor Society, Service Chair of the KANIA Women In Business Club, and Chair of Athletics & Programming in Student Government. She also worked as a broadcaster and track and field social media co-manager for Royal Athletics, and volunteered with the University’s Center for Service and Social Justice food pantry.

Most recently, White was hired at her alma mater, joining the Scranton Athletics department as the Athletics Coordinator.
