TOWSON, Md. - The Landmark Conference announced its 2024 Men's Lacrosse All-Conference teams on Wednesday afternoon. Teams are nominated and selected by the league's 10 head coaches.
Offensive Player of the Year: Brennan Lorence (Susquehanna University)
Defensive Player of the Year: Colin Pierce (University of Scranton)
Rookie of the Year: Myles McCutcheon (University of Scranton)
Coaching Staff of the Year: Susquehanna University
In just three seasons, Brennan Lorence has solidified his position as one of the Landmark Conference's standout players, etching his name into the conference record books. As a junior, he currently sits fifth all-time in points scored (191) and third in goals scored (151).
Lorence's dominance extends beyond personal records; he leads the league in goals scored with an impressive tally of 55, coupled with 30 groundballs. His outstanding performance earned him the Offensive Player of the Year, marking him as the first River Hawk to receive such recognition since the conference introduced separate Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year awards in 2019.
On the defensive front, Colin Pierce stands as a beacon of excellence for the men's lacrosse program, securing the title of Landmark Defensive Player of the Year. Throughout 18 games, the graduate student showcased his scooped-up 72 groundballs and totaled 21 turnovers, both ranking second on the team.
Meanwhile, Myles McCutcheon emerged as a rising star, clinching the title of Scranton's third Rookie of the Year and the first since 2012. In his debut season, he displayed remarkable versatility, contributing 36 goals, 23 groundballs, nine assists, and two caused turnovers across 17 games, 16 of which he started.
Behind the scenes, the Susquehanna coaching staff, under the guidance of Stewart Moan, demonstrated their exceptional leadership, earning their third Coaching Staff of the Year honors. With a commendable regular-season record of 14-3 overall and 8-1 in the Landmark, Moan's seventeen-year tenure at the helm of the SU men's lacrosse program has consistently yielded success, marked by nine seasons with at least 10 wins (2024, 2023, 2019, 2018, 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013, 2011).
