TOWSON, Md. - The Landmark Conference selects 23 senior scholar-athletes annually, recognizing student-athletes in each sport, and considering academic and athletic achievements.
Senior Scholar-Athlete History
These honorees must maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20 and are chosen by a committee comprising Landmark Conference officers, athletics directors, senior woman administrators, faculty athletic representatives, athletic communications personnel, and diversity, ethnicity, and inclusion designees.
Elizabethtown College's Mylea Neidig is the 2024 Landmark Conference Women's Track & Field Senior Scholar-Athlete. She follows Trinity Soto (2023) as the second Blue Jay in a row to receive this recognition.
A dominant thrower, Neidig is the 2024 Landmark Outdoor Shot Put champion (12.07m), and finished third place in the discus (35.70m). These first and honorable mention selections marked her third throughout her career, coupled with qualifying for 2023-2024 USTFCCA & NCAA Division III All-Mid Atlantic Region in the shot put.
Neidig studied Occupational Therapy and held a 3.93 GPA while at Elizabethtown. She is a three-time Landmark Spring Academic Honor Roll and USTFCCCA All-Academic Track & Fieldx member, and was 2022-2023 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District.
