Foley Earns AVCA National Player of the Week Honors

TOWSON, Md. - Juniata College setter Olivia Foley was named the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) National Player of the Week after delivering a stellar performance at the Eagles' ASICS Classic.

Foley orchestrated a high-powered offense, leading the Eagles to two victories while the team hit a remarkable .397. She averaged 12.17 assists per set throughout the week. In a win over a tough Ohio Northern, she tallied 39 assists and four digs as the team hit .358. Against Swarthmore, Foley dished out 34 assists, contributing to the Eagles’ .438 hitting percentage while adding 10 digs and three blocks. The weekend was historic for the Eagles as they tied and broke the Division III consecutive match win record, securing their 66th and 67th straight victories.

Her standout play also earned her Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week honors.

Foley becomes just the fifth volleyball player in Landmark Conference history to receive AVCA National Player of the Week recognition, joining Juniata's Amber Thomas (2007), Paige Johnson (2009), Nakita Gearhard (2014), and Susquehanna University's Sydney Portale (2019).
