Landmark Announces Athletes of the Week

TOWSON, Md. - The Landmark Conference has released the Athletes of the Week. The conference will recognize a student-athlete for each sport based on their contributions to their team throughout the season.

For the fall season, field hockey, football, soccer, and volleyball will be announced on Monday, followed by cross country, golf, swimming and diving, and tennis on Tuesday.

  • Offensive Athlete of the Week: Drew Bridges (Elizabethtown College)
    Bridges tallied her third hat trick of the season against Drew and added two assists in the 9-2 win. She also scored the first two goals against Goucher, tying the game twice to spark a 3-2 win for the Blue Jays.

    Defensive Athlete of the Week: Jessica Knox (Moravian University)
    Knox made 10 saves in a 1-0 shutout win at Wilkes, earning her first career victory and shutout in her first collegiate start.

  • Offensive Athlete of the Week: Joe Lyons (Lycoming College)
    Lyons went 23-of-29 for a career-high 327 yards and two touchdowns in a 31-21 win over Wilkes. The victory marked Lycoming’s first against the Colonels since 2021 and its highest point total in the series since 2017.

    Defensive Athlete of the Week: Daniel Atsou (Lycoming College)
    Atsou filled the stat sheet in Lycoming’s 31-24 win over Wilkes, recording nine tackles (one for loss), two pass breakups, and a fumble recovery at the Lycoming 12-yard line to halt a Colonels drive.

    Specialist of the Week: Dominic Bourgeois (Susquehanna University)
    Bourgeois went a perfect 8-for-8 on extra points and connected on two field goals, including a 42-yarder. He also kicked off 10 times for 629 total yards with four touchbacks.

  • Offensive Athlete of the Week: Enzo Petruzzelli (Moravian University)
    Petruzzelli netted three goals across two wins for the Greyhounds. He scored twice in a 4-1 victory at Goucher and delivered the game-winner in a 2-1 comeback over Wilkes.

    Defensive Athlete of the Week: Owen Allegro (Catholic University)
    Allegro posted back-to-back shutouts in a 1-0-1 week for the Cardinals. He stopped one shot in a 1-0 win over Susquehanna, then made a season-high six saves against No. 16 Scranton in a 0-0 draw, his fourth and fifth shutouts of the season.

  • Offensive Athlete of the Week: Sarah Straup (Wilkes University)
    Straup played a part in every goal of Wilkes’ 3-2 win over Moravian, scoring twice and assisting on the game-winner by Grace Alderson.

    Defensive Athlete of the Week: Ava Rieger (Catholic University)
    Rieger was stellar in net for the Cardinals, totaling 17 saves across two shutouts. She made five saves in a 1-0 win over Susquehanna and followed with a season-high 12 saves in a 0-0 draw against league-leading Scranton.

  • Athlete of the Week: Cammi Quirk (University of Scranton)
    Quirk orchestrated Scranton’s attack with 111 total assists (12.33 per set) over three matches. She tallied 12 assists against Elizabethtown, 28 versus No. 18 Virginia Wesleyan, and 38 in a Landmark victory over Susquehanna.

    Defensive Athlete of the Week: Aidyn Stone (Drew University)
    Stone averaged 3.88 digs per set during a 2-2 week for the Rangers. She notched 19 digs in a 3-2 win over Susquehanna, 12 in a sweep of Centenary, 16 against Elizabethtown, and 15 versus Lancaster Bible.
