Landmark Standouts Recognized on AVCA Region 5 All-Region Teams

Juniata's Elizabeth Cleveland Named Region 5 Freshman of the Year

TOWSON, Md. - The Landmark Conference was well represented in the 2025 AVCA Region 5 awards, highlighted by Juniata College setter Elizabeth Cleveland, who was named the Region 5 Freshman of the Year. A full list of the conference’s regional honorees is included below.

Elizabeth Cleveland – Juniata – First Team
Cleveland caps an impressive first-year campaign as the Landmark Rookie of the Year, continuing the tradition of standout Juniata setters. She also earned Second Team All-Landmark honors while surpassing 1,000 assists on the season. Cleveland directed an Eagles offense that ranked ninth nationally in assists per set (12.75) and seventh in total assists (1,403). She finished second in the conference with 1,072 assists and added 48 service aces, ranking inside the league’s top ten.

Ava Gummer – Juniata – First Team
Gummer was a dominant force for the Eagles, serving as a team captain and earning First Team All-Landmark recognition. She tallied 230 kills, leading the team before injury, and posted a .284 hitting percentage, eighth-best in the conference. Gummer also finished 14th in the Landmark in total points (240.5) while helping guide Juniata to an NCAA Tournament berth and a top-three national ranking in hitting percentage.

Molly Mishinkash – Juniata – First Team
Mishinkash earned her first All-Landmark selection after a breakout season that ranked among the best in Division III. She recorded a .435 hitting percentage, which is fourth in the nation and the best in the Landmark by a wide margin. Mishinkash totaled 287 kills (fifth in the Landmark) and added 25 solo blocks to lead the conference, finishing third overall with 85 total blocks.

Audrey Muth – Juniata – First Team
Muth adds another milestone to her standout career with her second First Team All-Landmark selection, building on Second Team honors in 2023 and 2022, when she was also named Rookie of the Year. She ranked seventh in the conference with 251 kills across just 87 sets while playing six rotations for much of the season. Muth contributed 41 blocks, 24 aces, and 14 assists, and she reached the 1,000-kill milestone this fall.

Isabella Rushing – Juniata – First Team
Rushing earned 2025 Landmark Specialist of the Year honors, becoming the sixth Eagle to win the award. She collected three Landmark Player of the Week awards and an AVCA Athlete of the Week nod while leading both Juniata and the conference with 58 service aces. Rushing also posted a team-high 485 digs, ranking third in the Landmark, and earned her first All-Landmark selection with a spot on the Second Team.

Deanna Whelpley – Scranton – First Team
Whelpley earned Landmark Player of the Year and First Team All-Conference honors following one of the league’s most dominant offensive seasons. She led the Landmark with 473 kills, including 111 in conference play, while averaging 4.04 kills per set and hitting a career-best .270. Whelpley became just the 10th player in program history to reach 1,000 career kills, hitting the milestone during the Landmark Championship match and finishing the season with 1,002. She is the first Royal ever to win Landmark Player of the Year and is now a two-time First Team honoree.

Maggie Hayes – Juniata – Honorable Mention
Hayes earned First Team All-Landmark honors for the first time in her career after a breakout season at the net. She posted 65 total blocks, ranking seventh in the conference, and delivered a .354 hitting percentage, which is second in the Landmark and among the top 40 nationally, while totaling 249 kills.

Cammi Quirk – Scranton – Honorable Mention
Quirk earned First Team All-Landmark recognition after leading the conference with 1,187 assists and a league-best 10.06 assists per set. She orchestrated one of the most efficient offenses in the Landmark and surpassed the 2,000-assist milestone earlier this season, now ranking seventh in program history with 2,329. This is her second straight All-Conference honor after earning Landmark Rookie of the Year in 2023.
