Six Land on AVCA All-America Teams

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Six Landmark Conference volleyball student-athletes were named to the American Volleyball Coaches (AVCA) All-America teams, announced by the organization on Wednesday, November 26.

Molly Mishinkash - Juniata College - Second Team
Mishinkash makes her first appearance on the AVCA All-America team after nabbing all-region honors and Landmark All-Conference first team honors earlier this year. She hit .415 on the season with 300 kills, 86 blocks, 34 digs, and 14 aces. She reached double-digit kills in 17 matches this season and hit over .500 in 17 matches this season as well. 

Elizabeth Cleveland - Juniata College - Honorable Mention
Cleveland had an excellent first season for the Eagles, picking up more accolades after being named to the all-region team, Landmark Rookie of the Year, and making the all-conference second team. She tallied 1142 assists, 245 digs, 51 aces, 21 kills, and 10 total blocks. She crossed the 50-assist plateau six times, including her season-high 56 in the conference championship match against Scranton. 

Ava Gummer - Juniata College - Honorable Mention
Gummer had her best season in an Eagle uniform, receiving all-region and first team honors earlier this season. She tallied 230 kills while hitting .274 to go with 46 digs and 19 blocks. She amassed double-digit kills in 13 matches, including a 17-kill performance against SUNY Cortland. 

Audrey Muth - Juniata College - Honorable Mention
Muth makes her third appearance on an AVCA All-America team, receiving honorable mention as a junior and making the third team as a sophomore. She has made an all-region team each of her four years, as well as making an all-conference team each of her four years. Muth tallied 276 kills while hitting .240, 164 digs, 42 blocks, 24 aces, and 17 assists. She had double-digit kills in 15 matches, including a pair of 18-kill matches against Christopher Newport and Carnegie Mellon. 

Isabella Rushing - Juniata College - Honorable Mention
Rushing wraps up a strong sophomore campaign that saw her receive all-region honors, be named Landmark Specialist of the Year, and be named to the all-conference second team. She had 520 digs, 126 assists, and 60 aces on the year. She had over 20 digs in 10 matches, including 29 against Elizabethtown. She also set the program record for service aces in a match with 11 against Lycoming. 

Deanna Whelpley - University of Scranton - Honorable Mention
Whelpley capped a dominant season by being named Landmark Player of the Year and First Team All-Conference. She led the league with 473 kills (ninth in the nation), averaged 4.04 kills per set, and posted a career-best .270 hitting percentage. Whelpley became the 10th player in program history to reach 1,000 career kills, hitting the milestone during the Landmark Championship match against Juniata and finishing with 1,002. Whelpley is now a two-time AVCA All-American after being named to the Honorable Mention team in 2023.
