Landmark Announces Athletes of the Week

TOWSON, Md. - The Landmark Conference has released the Athletes of the Week. The conference will recognize a student-athlete for each sport based on their contributions to their team throughout the season.

For the winter season, men's and women's basketball will be announced on Monday, followed by swimming and diving, and indoor track and field on Tuesday.

  • Men's Athlete of the Week: Jades Fifer (Goucher College)
    Jadyss Fifer played a key role offensively for Goucher in their first win of the season over Ursinus on November 25th. Fifer led with 25 points, shooting 9-of-15 (60%) and 5-of-9 (56%) from beyond the arc. He added seven defensive rebounds, three steals, and two assists in the contest to help the Gophers to the 76-72 win.

    Women's Athlete of the Week: Allyia Kennedy (Elizabethtown College)
    Allyia Kennedy netted a career-high 29 points last Tuesday at Messiah to help the Blue Jays stay unbeaten on the season with an overtime win against the Falcons, 80-77. The forward had a career high 13 field goals, shooting an impressive 68% from the field (13-for-19). She dropped in a pair of threes and was one rebound shy of a double-double, finishing with nine total. Kennedy also picked up two steals, including a huge one with just over a minute left and Etown holding a 75–73 lead. Her takeaway set up a Blue Jay layup on the other end, pushing the lead to 77–73.
