Men's Basketball All-Conference Announced

TOWSON, Md. - The Landmark Conference announced its 2024-25 Men's Basketball All-Conference Awards, as voted on by the league's 10 head coaches.

Player of the Year: Sean Neylon (Catholic University)
Defensive Player of the Year: David Musial (Drew University)
Rookie of the Year: Sammy Tornabene (University of Scranton)
Coaching Staff of the Year: Drew University

Catholic University senior Sean Neylon was named Landmark Conference Player of the Year, earning his first selection to the All-Landmark First Team. Neylon, a Second Team honoree in 2022-23, ranked fourth in the conference with 461 points while leading the league in free throw percentage (.952) and three-point percentage (.468). He paced the Cardinals in scoring (18.4 ppg), field goals (157), and three-pointers (88) while earning Landmark Athlete of the Week honors four times, including three this season.

Drew’s defensive anchor, junior David Musial, was named Defensive Player of the Year for the second straight season, becoming the third Ranger to receive the award. Musial started all 27 games, ranking fifth in the conference with 47 steals while leading the team in rebounds (168) and blocks (16).

Scranton’s Sammy Tornabene was selected as the Landmark Conference Rookie of the Year after an impressive debut season. He started 10 games, averaging 10.0 points per game, and finished third on the team in scoring (200 points), field goals (78), and free throws (42). He also contributed 35 assists and 12 blocks. Tornabene becomes the fourth Scranton player to win the award, joining Ross Danzig (2011-12), Logan Bailey (2018-19), and Will McLoughlin (2021-22).

Drew head coach Michael McSloy and his staff were named Landmark Coaching Staff of the Year after guiding the Rangers to a historic 24-3 season. The team set a program record with a 16-game winning streak and secured its second Landmark Conference title. Drew led the conference in scoring (90.6 ppg), scoring margin (+17.1), field goal percentage (48.2%), and three-point percentage (36.7%) while holding opponents to the lowest three-point shooting percentage (28.9%). The Rangers also led the league in steals (277) and will make their first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance.

Drew led the All-Conference selections with four honorees, followed by Catholic with three. Moravian and Wilkes each had two selections, while Elizabethtown, Susquehanna, and Scranton earned one All-Conference spot apiece.
