Elizabethtown's Daniel Myers Named Landmark Men's Outdoor Track & Field Senior Scholar-Athlete

TOWSON, Md. - The Landmark Conference selects 23 senior scholar-athletes annually, recognizing students in each sport and considering both academic and athletic achievements.

These honorees must maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20 and are chosen by a committee comprising Landmark Conference officers, athletic directors, senior woman administrators, faculty athletic representatives, athletic communications personnel, and diversity, ethnicity, and inclusion designees.

Daniel Myers of Elizabethtown College has been selected as the Landmark Conference’s 2024-25 Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Senior Scholar-Athlete. He becomes the fifth Blue Jay to earn the honor—and the fourth consecutive winner from Elizabethtown. He is also the second Etown student-athlete to receive a Senior Scholar-Athlete award this academic year.

A captain of the Blue Jays’ track & field team, Myers had an outstanding career on the track, collecting six All-Landmark Conference honors. His accolades include Honorable Mention in 2025 for the mile (indoor) and 3,000m steeplechase (outdoor), Second Team recognition in the 1,500m in 2023, 2024, and 2025, and a First Team selection in the 3,000m steeplechase in 2024. In his final season, Myers helped lead Elizabethtown to a third-place finish at the Landmark Outdoor Championships, placing second in the 1,500m (3:54.48) and third in the steeplechase (9:49.11).

In the classroom, Myers has excelled as a Finance major, carrying a 3.75 GPA. He was named to the CSC Academic All-District Team in 2023-24, is a three-time Landmark Spring Academic Honor Roll honoree, and a three-time USTFCCCA All-Academic Team selection. He was also the recipient of the 2024-25 Blue Jay Athletic Association Male Distinguished Student-Athlete Award. Myers is a member of Alpha Lambda Delta and Delta Mu Delta honor societies and has been named to the Dean’s List in three semesters.

Beyond athletics and academics, Myers has made a strong impact through service and mentorship. He is an Attollo Program mentor, guiding underrepresented high school students in leadership and college preparation. He volunteers with Brittany’s Hope, a nonprofit supporting international adoption and child welfare and participates annually in the Ben & Tim 5K. Additionally, he serves as a mentor and youth coach at JP McCaskey High School in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, helping develop the next generation of student-athletes.
