DaniRae Renno Selected as Women's Outdoor Track & Field Senior Scholar-Athlete

TOWSON, Md. – Elizabethtown College's DaniRae Renno has been selected as the 2025 Landmark Conference Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Senior Scholar-Athlete.

The Landmark Conference selects 23 senior scholar-athletes each year to recognize the top student-athletes in each sport based on academics and athletics.

The honorees must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20 and are selected by a committee of Landmark Conference officers, athletics directors, senior woman administrators, faculty athletic representatives, athletic communications, and diversity, ethnicity, and inclusion designees.

A dual major in journalism and English with a concentration in professional writing, Renno holds a 3.94 grade point average and has excelled across academics, athletics, and service. She is a three-time Landmark Spring Academic Honor Roll recipient, a six-time Dean’s List honoree, a 2023 Elizabethtown College Emergent Scholar, and a 2023–24 CSC Academic All-District selection — an honor she also earned three times in women’s basketball.

Renno was recognized on campus with the 2024–25 FIN Award for Excellence in Communications, Student Employment Awards for her work with the Office of Marketing & Communications and Bowers Fitness Center, and the 2024–25 Christian S. Wenger English Prize, awarded to an outstanding senior English major. She was also nominated for the Blue Jay Athletic Association Female Distinguished Student-Athlete Award, which honors excellence in academics, athletics, leadership, and service.

On the track, Renno was a three-time All-Landmark Conference performer in the discus, earning Second Team honors in 2022 and 2024, and Honorable Mention in 2025. A four-time discus medalist at the Landmark Outdoor Championships — including a bronze in 2023 — she also earned USTFCCCA Division III Outdoor All-Mid-Atlantic Region honors in 2023–24.

In addition to her track success, Renno was a four-year member of the Elizabethtown women’s basketball team, earning an at-large bid to the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Tournament in three of her four years.

Her dedication to service was equally impressive. Renno served on Elizabethtown’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), volunteered with local food pantries, and supported the College’s facilities management team in preparing for campus events during times of understaffing. She also contributed through the Center for Community and Civic Engagement and participated annually in the Spring Day of Service and Admissions events as a representative of the Communications Department.

Renno becomes the third straight Blue Jay and the fourth in five years to earn the honor, joining Erin Doherty (2021), Trinity Soto (2023), and Mylea Neidig (2024). She is also the second Elizabethtown student-athlete recognized during the 2024-25 academic year, alongside women’s basketball teammate Summer McNulty.
