Landmark Announces Athletes of the Week

TOWSON, Md. - The Landmark Conference has released the Athletes of the Week. The conference will recognize a student-athlete for each sport based on their contributions to their team throughout the season.

For the winter season, men's and women's basketball will be announced on Monday, followed by swimming and diving, and indoor track and field on Tuesday.

  • Men's Athlete of the Week: Lucas Lesko (Wilkes University)
    Lucas Lesko led the Colonels to a 2-0 week with his best games of the season against No. 21 Scranton and Moravian. He finished with 26 points and seven rebounds in a 75-45 win over the Royals, and then scored a season-high 34 points in an 86-73 win over the Greyhounds. Overall, the senior forward averaged 30.0 points and 7.5 rebounds per game on 60.5% shooting from the field and 91.7% shooting from the free-throw line. 

    Women's Athlete of the Week: Annie Greek (Susquehanna University)
    Annie Greek helped to lead the River Hawks to two pivotal Conference wins, with Greek leading the charge against Elizabethtown. Against Goucher, Annie scored 16 points, nailing two three-pointers. She also pulled down four rebounds and earned three assists. Against Elizabethtown, Greek led all River Hawks in scoring, netting 21 points. Annie shot 4-5 from deep, including two three-pointers to open the game for the River Hawks.
