2025-26 Landmark Men's Basketball All-Conference Announced

TOWSON, Md. – The Landmark Conference announced its 2025-26 Men’s Basketball All-Conference selections and major award winners on Wednesday, March 4. Coaches nominate student-athletes and vote for the All-Conference teams and individual “Of the Year” honors following the regular season.

Player of the Year: CJ Ruoff (Catholic University)
Defensive Player of the Year: David Musial (Drew University)
Rookie of the Year: Ben Robinson (University of Scranton)
Coaching Staff of the Year: Catholic University

Ruoff secures the Cardinals their third straight Player of the Year honor, following Jesse Hafemeister (2024) and Sean Neylon (2025), and marking the sixth time in program history that a Catholic student-athlete has earned the conference’s top individual award. During the regular season, Ruoff started all 26 contests and averaged a team-best 19.7 points per game, adding 3.9 rebounds and a team-leading 4.4 assists per outing. He scored in double figures in 24 of 26 games, recorded 12 performances of 20 or more points, and delivered two 30-point outings, 38 against Elizabethtown College and 32 versus Lycoming College.

Musial earns his third straight Defensive Player of the Year honor, becoming the first player in conference history to claim the award three times. He averaged 3.1 assists, 2.5 steals, 0.5 blocks, and 8.3 rebounds per game, including 6.2 defensive boards, and recorded at least one steal in all but four contests. Musial’s impact was most evident in generating turnovers, as Drew ranked second in the Landmark Conference with 8.17 steals per game against conference opponents.

Robinson becomes the third Royal in the last five years to earn Rookie of the Year honors and the second straight, joining current teammate Sammy Tornabene. He appeared in all 26 games with 25 starts, averaging 6.9 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per contest, helping guide Scranton to 19 wins this season.

Kelly claims his second Coach of the Year honor after leading Catholic to the top seed in the conference tournament for the second straight season. Assisted by Jack Fitzpatrick and Eli Reinhardt, Kelly’s squad excelled on both ends of the floor, holding conference opponents to just 64.5 points per game while scoring 80.0 themselves, producing a +15.5 point margin, the third-best in the Landmark Conference.

Although the Cardinals fell in the semifinals, their strong NPI ranking secured an at-large NCAA Tournament bid, allowing them to continue their postseason run. The Cardinals earned one of the 21 at-large bids into the 64-team field. It is only the second time in program history that the program has made the dance in at least three consecutive seasons.
