Landmark Announces Athletes of the Week

TOWSON, Md. - The Landmark Conference has released the Athletes of the Week. The conference will recognize a student-athlete for each sport based on their contributions to their team throughout the season.

For the winter season, men's and women's basketball will be announced on Monday, followed by swimming and diving, and indoor track and field on Tuesday.

For the spring season, baseball, softball, and lacrosse will be announced on Monday, followed by golf, tennis, and outdoor track and field on Tuesday.

  • Men's Track Athlete of the Week: Luke Vottero (Elizabethtown College)
    Luke Vottero raced to victory in the 400 meters at Friday’s Haverford Keogh Invitational, clocking a winning time of 53.46 seconds.

    Men's Field Athlete of the Week: Julius Reyes (Moravian University)
    Julius Reyes took second in the 35-pound weight throw at the Kutztown University Golden Bear Invitational with a toss of 15.64 meters (51-3.75), and placed fourth in the shot put at 12.76 meters (41-10.5).

    Women's Track Athlete of the Week: Olivia Miller (University of Scranton) 
    Olivia Miller placed second in the 500 meters with a time of 1:16.88, shattering the University of Scranton program record and setting a new Landmark Conference record in the event. 

    Women's Field Athlete of the Week: Kennedy Simons (Moravian University)
    Kennedy Simons won the triple jump with an All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Championship qualifying mark at 10.93 meters (35-10.5) at the Kutztown University Golden Bear Invitational, and she also captured first in the long jump with a leap of 5.18 meters (17-0).
