Camlet Named Women’s Indoor Track & Field Senior Scholar-Athlete

TOWSON, Md. – The Landmark Conference selects 23 senior scholar-athletes each year to recognize the top student-athletes in each sport based on academics and athletics. The honorees must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20 and are selected by a committee of Landmark Conference athletics directors, senior woman administrators, faculty athletic representatives, athletic communications, and diversity, ethnicity, and inclusion designee.

Drew University’s Emily Camlet has been honored as a Landmark Conference Indoor Track & Field Senior Scholar-Athlete, recognizing her outstanding achievements both on and off the track.

Camlet has been a standout performer at Drew, balancing academics with standout athletics. She is pursuing a double major in Italian and Statistics with a minor in Dance, maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA while excelling in multiple sports.

Since Drew introduced track & field as a varsity sport in 2023-24, Camlet has been a dominant presence on the indoor circuit, earning four All-Landmark Conference selections and winning three conference championships in the 400 meters (2024, 2025, 2026). She holds the Landmark Conference indoor record in both the 400 (55.86) and the 200 (25.04) as well as the championship meet record (57.06) in the 400. In addition, she holds five Drew indoor records across individual and relay events. She also earned All-Region recognition in the 400 in 2025, when she qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships in the 400. Camlet is competing in the 2026 NCAA Championships in the same event this year after finishing the season ranked No. 11 on the Division III performance list.

Camlet’s academic accomplishments are equally impressive. She is a two-time CSC Academic All-District honoree (2024, 2025), has earned multiple Landmark Academic Honor Roll recognitions, and is a Francis Asbury Scholar, Drew University’s top academic award. She is also a member of Chi Alpha Sigma, Pi Mu Epsilon, and Gamma Kappa Alpha, making the Dean’s List every semester.

Camlet’s leadership and community involvement are just as extensive. She serves as President of the Drew University Cultural Italian American Organization, participates in the University’s Dance Company, and is a Student-Athlete Advisory Committee representative. She mentored incoming student-athletes through the Peer Mentor Program and created a charitable initiative, “Bracelets for Alzheimer’s,” raising funds for the Alzheimer’s Association. In addition, she works professionally as a dancer with the Bridget Ryan Dance Company and has served as a substitute teacher in North Brunswick Township Schools (NJ).
