Four Landmark Men’s Basketball Players Earn D3hoops.com All-Region 5 Honors

TOWSON, Md. – Four Landmark Conference men’s basketball players were recognized on the 2025-26 D3hoops.com All-Region 5 teams on Monday, March 16, led by First Team selections CJ Ruoff of Catholic University and Lucas Lesko of Wilkes University.

Ruoff earned First Team honors after another standout season for the Cardinals. Ruoff, the 2025-26 Landmark Conference Player of the Year, led the team with 19.5 points per game, the eighth-highest single-season scoring average in program history, and totaled 547 points, the seventh-most in a season in the program’s Division III era. He started in 27 games, added 3.9 rebounds and 4.4 assists per contest, and scored in double figures in 26 games, including two 30-point performances with a season-high 38 points against Elizabethtown College and 32 versus Lycoming College. 

Lesko was also named to the First Team after another stellar season. Lesko led the Colonels with 19.0 points and 7.4 rebounds per game on 45.0% shooting over 25 games. He paced the team in blocks (27), finished third in assists (65), and recorded 22 steals. He helped the Colonels finish 18-10 overall and made a run to the Landmark Conference Championship Game. During the tournament, he averaged 22.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game on 49.1% shooting. Lesko finishes his career third in program history in points (1,723) and field goals made (637), sixth in points per game (16.6) and blocks (109), and ninth in games played (104).

Austin Finarelli of Elizabethtown College was named to the Second Team after a career season in which he averaged 21.2 points per game and totaled 551 points, second in the Landmark Conference. He reached the 1,000-point career milestone against Rosemont in November and posted a season-high 34 points versus Scranton University in January.

Moravian University forward Marquis Ratcliff earned Second Team honors for the second consecutive year. Ratcliff led the Greyhounds with 22.4 points and 8.7 rebounds per game while contributing a school-record 64 blocked shots, 61 assists, 22 steals, and 43 three-pointers. He concluded his career as Moravian’s all-time leader in points (1,945) and blocks (222), second in rebounds (861), and also set the program record for field goals made (713). Ratcliff was a four-time Landmark All-Conference honoree and the 2023 Rookie of the Year. Moravian finished the season 15-10 overall and 9-9 in conference play, narrowly missing the Landmark Conference Tournament.

Players were nominated for these awards by the Sports Information Directors at each school, with 797 nominees nationwide. SIDs in each region voted for a predetermined number of players to determine the All-Region teams.
