Lamb Honored as Men’s Indoor Track & Field Senior Scholar-Athlete

TOWSON, Md. – The Landmark Conference selects 23 senior scholar-athletes each year to recognize the top student-athletes in each sport based on academics and athletics. The honorees must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20 and are selected by a committee of Landmark Conference officers, athletics directors, senior woman administrators, faculty athletic representatives, athletic communications, and diversity, ethnicity, and inclusion designee.

Elizabethtown College men’s indoor track and field standout Matthew Lamb has been named a 2025-26 Landmark Conference Senior Scholar-Athlete, recognizing excellence in both the classroom and competition. A chemistry major, Lamb carries a 3.85 GPA while consistently contributing to the Blue Jays’ sprint relay success. He becomes the sixth Blue Jay overall to receive Senior Scholar-Athlete recognition, the fourth in the last five years, and the second Elizabethtown student-athlete this academic year, joining winter selection Leif Hoffman of men’s swimming.

Lamb was a key member of Elizabethtown’s 4x200 meter relay team, helping the Blue Jays finish fifth at the 2024 and 2025 Landmark Indoor Championships before improving to fourth place in 2026.

In the classroom, Lamb has excelled academically, earning College Sports Communicators (CSC) All-Academic Team recognition in 2024-25 and being named to the Landmark Spring Academic Honor Roll three times. He also gained valuable research experience as an undergraduate research assistant at Elizabethtown College in 2024 and 2025.

Lamb is active in his community as well, serving as a summer camp counselor for Middletown Township in Bucks County during the summer of 2024.
