Landmark Announces Athletes of the Week

TOWSON, Md. - The Landmark Conference has released the Athletes of the Week. The conference will recognize a student-athlete for each sport based on their contributions to their team throughout the season.

For the spring season, baseball, softball, and lacrosse will be announced on Monday, followed by golf, tennis, and outdoor track and field on Tuesday.

  • Baseball Athlete of the Week: Andres Cruz (Wilkes University)
    Cruz had a stellar week at the plate while leading the Colonels to a perfect 5-0 record. The sophomore outfielder batted .500 by going 11-for-22 with two doubles and three home runs, while racking up 15 RBIs. His week was highlighted by a two-home run game against Widener and a perfect 4-for-4 day in game two against Juniata.
     

    Baseball Pitcher of the Week: Josh Domaracki (Susquehanna University)
    Domaracki tossed a complete-game shutout in Saturday’s opener against Elizabethtown, leading Susquehanna to a 1–0 victory. He struck out five while allowing just three hits and two walks, facing 31 batters across nine dominant innings.

  • Men's Lacrosse Offensive Athlete of the Week: Tristan Coleman (Elizabethtown College)
    Coleman totaled 15 points across two victories last week for Elizabethtown, powering the Blue Jays to a pair of conference wins. Against Drew, he totaled four goals and three assists to help Elizabethtown to a 19-10 win. He ended his week with six goals and two assists in Saturday’s 24–5 win over Goucher, outscoring the Gophers by himself (6–5).

    Men's Lacrosse Defensive Athlete of the Week: Sawyer Kennedy (Drew University)
    Kennedy recorded an 11.79 goals-against average and a .500 save percentage for the Rangers. He turned aside 10 shots over 51 minutes in a 14–3 victory over Juniata, and followed with 12 saves against 47 shots against Elizabethtown.

    Women's Lacrosse Offensive Athlete of the Week: Grace Patane (Drew University)
    Patane recorded 10 goals and two assists to go with six ground balls and three caused turnovers in a 2-0 week for the Rangers. In her top performance, she posted six goals, one assist, five ground balls, and two caused turnovers in a 19-10 victory at Juniata, where she also reached the 100-goal mark for her career. In addition, she recorded four goals, one assist, one groundball, and one caused turnover in a 15-8 win at Elizabethtown.

    Women's Lacrosse Defensive Athlete of the Week: Emily Monaco (Drew University)
    Monaco posted nine caused turnovers and eight ground balls to go with four draw controls and one goal in a 2-0 week for the Rangers. Against Elizabethtown, she posted six caused turnovers, six ground balls, two draw controls, and one goal in a 15-8 victory. She followed up with three caused turnovers, two ground balls, and two draw controls in a 19-10 win at Juniata. 

  • Softball Athlete of the Week: Kyra Holtje (Moravian University)
    Holtje led Moravian at the plate with a .500 batting average in a 3-1 week. She was 8-for-16 with five runs, six RBIs, two doubles, and two homers for a 1.000 slugging percentage and a .529 on-base percentage. Holtje was 3-for-8 with a run in a doubleheader split at Scranton, and she was 5-for-8 with two doubles, two homers, three runs, and six RBIs in a sweep at Lycoming. Holtje added six putouts and an assist. 

    Softball Pitcher of the Week: Lauren DeMarco (Wilkes University)
    DeMarco kept Wilkes in the playoff race this past week with two great outings against Lycoming and Juniata. She started with a complete game gem against the Warriors, allowing six hits, two runs, and striking out four batters in a 4-2 win. She followed it up with a complete game, two-hit shutout against the Eagles, where she struck out another five batters. Overall, she finished with 14.0 innings pitched, just eight hits allowed, two earned runs, and nine strikeouts, leading to a .163 BAVG on the week.
