MANCHESTER, Conn. - The Moravian University women's tennis team fell to No. 4 Wesleyan (Conn.) University, 4-0, in the second round of the 2026 NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament, Saturday at Magic Lincer Tennis Club in a regional being hosted by Amherst (Mass.) College.
How It Happened
- The Cardinals swept first and second doubles to clinch the doubles point and a 1-0 advantage
- Wesleyan picked up straight sets wins at fourth, fifth, and sixth singles to clinch the match and advance to the third round of the tournament on Sunday
- The Hounds finish the season with an 18-4 mark, tying for the second-most victories in a season in program history. Moravian won its sixth Landmark Conference title this spring and the program's 14th overall conference title
NCAA Division III Tournament History
- The Greyhounds competed in the NCAA Division III Tournament for the fifth time, and the program has won NCAA Tournament First Round matches in 2019, 2021 and 2026 as Moravian is 3-5 all-time in NCAA Tournament play
