Zamora Picked as Women's Tennis Senior Scholar-Athlete

TOWSON, Md. – The Landmark Conference selects 23 senior scholar-athletes each year to recognize the top student-athletes in each sport based on academics and athletics. The honorees must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20 and are selected by a committee of Landmark Conference officers, athletics directors, senior woman administrators, faculty athletic representatives, athletic communications, and diversity, ethnicity, and inclusion designee.

Drew University women’s tennis student-athlete Natalia Zamora was selected as the 2025-26 Landmark Conference Senior Scholar-Athlete. Zamora is an anthropology major with a 3.56 grade point average and was a four-year member of the Rangers women’s tennis program, helping lead Drew through one of the most successful periods in team history while excelling academically and serving in numerous leadership and community engagement roles across campus.

Drew captured Landmark Conference championships in 2023 and 2024 while advancing to conference championship matches in 2025 and 2026. The Rangers also posted back-to-back undefeated conference seasons in 2023 (7-0) and 2024 (9-0), while the 2023 squad finished 19-3, the winningest season in program history.

Throughout her collegiate career, Zamora competed throughout the lineup, moving from primarily the No. 5 and No. 6 singles positions as a freshman to No. 2 singles and No. 1 doubles as a senior. She earned All-Landmark Conference Honorable Mention recognition in singles as a sophomore after posting a 10-6 record, primarily at the No. 4 position. She also recorded a 9-2 singles mark during her freshman season and concluded her career with a 30-26 singles record and a 24-28 doubles mark.

In the classroom, Zamora earned Landmark Conference Academic Honor Roll recognition twice and was inducted into several honor societies, including Tri Alpha for first-generation college students, Chi Alpha Sigma for student-athletes, the National Society for Leadership and Success, and Lambda Alpha for anthropology students.

Zamora served two years as treasurer of the Connect with Kids club and later held the same role with the Catholic Campus Ministry club. Additionally, she represented the women’s tennis program in the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). During her senior year, she interned as a student-teacher at Park Elementary School in Newark, New Jersey, and completed an independent anthropology study focused on foraging societies in the Congo Basin alongside a faculty mentor.
