Despite the result, Scranton finished another standout year with a 14-7 record, capturing its fourth consecutive Landmark Conference Championship and advancing to the NCAA Second Round for the third straight season. The Basics Final Score: Bowdoin 16, Scranton 6 Records: Scranton (14-7), Bowdoin (17-1) How It Happened Scranton set the tone early as Brendan Donohue finished a feed from Logan Kelly to open the scoring and give the Royals a 1-0 lead midway through the first quarter. After Bowdoin answered, Quinn Carson restored the lead off a Donohue assist to make it 2-1. The Polar Bears closed the first quarter on a 4-0 run to take a 5-2 advantage, then carried momentum into the second quarter, extending the lead to 11-3 at halftime. David Dubas added a goal late in the second quarter to keep Scranton on the board. Bowdoin remained in control through the third quarter before Carson struck again off an assist from Jason Kozak late in the frame. The Royals continued to compete throughout the fourth quarter, with Carson completing his hat trick and Jack Crotty adding a late goal to close out scoring for Scranton.
