Weiss Voted as Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Senior Scholar-Athlete

TOWSON, Md. – The Landmark Conference selects 23 senior scholar-athletes each year to recognize the top student-athletes in each sport based on academics and athletics. The honorees must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20 and are selected by a committee of Landmark Conference officers, athletics directors, senior woman administrators, faculty athletic representatives, athletic communications, and diversity, ethnicity, and inclusion designee.

Moravian University men’s track and field student-athlete Kyle Weiss has been named a 2025-26 Landmark Conference Senior Scholar-Athlete. Weiss earned both his undergraduate degree in secondary education and history (3.69 grade point average) and a master’s degree in education (4.00 GPA) while competing across multiple sports during his Moravian career. He becomes the second Moravian student-athlete this spring, the third this academic year, and the sixth in program history to earn Senior Scholar-Athlete recognition.

Weiss played a key role in Moravian’s outdoor track and field success in 2026, helping the Greyhounds capture a Landmark Conference team championship. He also delivered a standout individual performance, winning the long jump title and earning First Team All-Conference honors. In relays, Weiss added Second Team All-Conference recognition in both the 4x100 and 4x400, helping anchor a strong sprint group for Moravian.

Across his career, Weiss contributed to multiple program-record relay performances, including 4x200 and 4x400 indoors and the 4x200 outdoors during the 2026 season. He also earned Second Team All-Conference honors in the indoor 4x200, Honorable Mention recognition in the indoor 4x400, and USTFCCCA All-Region honors as part of the 4x400 relay group.

In the classroom, Weiss has been a consistent academic presence, earning six College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District selections across men’s soccer and men’s lacrosse, along with 11 Landmark Academic Honor Roll selections. He was also named Moravian’s Blue & Grey Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2025 and is a six-time Dean’s List honoree and member of Chi Alpha Sigma.

Weiss has also served in leadership roles on campus, including as a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and the History Honor Society.
