Landmark Conference Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year Finalist: Ben Ciesielski

TOWSON, Md. – Catholic University’s football student-athlete Ben Ciesielski has been named a finalist for the Landmark Conference Male Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year, an honor recognizing graduating seniors who have demonstrated exceptional achievement in academics, athletics, leadership, and community service throughout their collegiate careers. The league’s overall Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year will be selected from four finalists and submitted for consideration for the Division III Commissioners Association (DIIICA) National Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

A steady anchor on the offensive line, Ciesielski started all 10 games in each of the past two seasons, primarily at left tackle, and became the first player in program history to earn All-Landmark Second Team honors in consecutive years (2024, 2025).

In the classroom, the biology major carried a 3.96 grade point average and compiled an impressive academic résumé. He earned CSC Academic All-District recognition in 2024 and 2025, was a three-time selection to the Landmark Fall Academic Honor Roll, and was a Dean’s List with Distinction student. Ciesielski was also a member of both the Phi Eta Sigma and Psi Chi honor societies.

Ciesielski was also active in service initiatives through Nickel City Canine Rescue, Catholic University’s Mother Teresa Day of Service and Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service, and mentoring young athletes as an Orchard Park Volunteer Varsity Football Coach.

The overall Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year will be announced on Wednesday, July 8.
