Goucher to Host 17th Annual Landmark Conference Summer Research Symposium

TOWSON, Md. - Goucher College is set to host the 17th Annual Landmark Conference Summer Research Symposium on Thursday, July 16. The event will bring together undergraduate student-researchers from the Landmark Conference's member institutions to showcase the outcomes of their summer research collaborations.

"The Summer Research Symposium is a unique opportunity to showcase the outstanding work being done by students across the Landmark Conference. It allows individuals to present their research, learn from one another, and experience the collaborative academic community that defines our conference,” said Landmark Commissioner Katie Boldvich. “We appreciate Goucher College's partnership in hosting this year's event and look forward to celebrating our student researchers together."

A signature academic initiative of the Landmark Conference, the Summer Research Symposium offers students the opportunity to present their work in a professional setting while connecting with peers and faculty from across the conference. Presentations will be delivered in both oral and poster formats, representing a wide range of academic disciplines.

“The last time Goucher hosted the Landmark Summer Research Symposium, it was a virtual meeting! The symposium is an opportunity for students to present their work, network, and learn about research at other Landmark Conference schools,” stated Jenny Lenkowski, the Lilian Welsh Endowed and Associate Professor of Biological Sciences at Goucher. “As a faculty mentor, it is such a great way to see how much research students have learned and the ownership they take of their research projects after just a handful of weeks. We are excited to have everyone be able to join us on our campus this year to share their research progress!”
