TOWSON, Md. - After the completion of the fall season, The University of Scranton sits atop the 2022 Landmark Conference Presidents' Trophy Standings.
The Trophy is awarded based on a formula that rewards institutions for regular-season conference standings as well as results in Landmark postseason competition. The point structure was revised in the summer of 2016 with different point hierarchies for the team and individual sports, but the maximum number of points any team can earn is 15. The total number of points each institution earns is divided by the number of Landmark sports sponsored to determine the average.
Scranton produced a stellar fall campaign. The Royals won three conference championships in men's and women's soccer, and women's cross country, and were the runner-up in volleyball. Scranton also had a postseason appearance in the Landmark Field Hockey Tournament. The men's cross country team placed fourth at the conference championships in October.
Catholic University finished second in the standings. The Cardinals won the conference title in Field Hockey and had two postseason appearances in men's and women's soccer. Additionally, the men's cross country team had the highest team finish in program history at the conference meet, placing second. The women's team had a fourth-place showing. The volleyball team finished fifth in the standings at the completion of the regular season.

At the conference cross country championships, the women's team placed second, being edged by Scranton by one point, while the men placed third. The men's soccer team, who finished second in the standings after the regular season ended, also finished as the runner-up in the conference tournament. The volleyball team also had a postseason appearance.
