TOWSON, Md. - The Landmark Conference has announced the hiring of Molly Colligan as its Mary Beth Spirk Intern for the 2026-27 academic year. Colligan’s anticipated start date is August 17.
“I am thrilled to have been selected as the Landmark Conference's 2026-27 Mary Beth Spirk Intern," said Colligan. "As a four-year student-athlete, I developed a deep appreciation for collegiate athletics not only through competition, but also through my work with our Sports Information Director and Game Day Operations staff. Those experiences gave me valuable insight into the dedication, teamwork, and behind-the-scenes efforts that create an outstanding student-athlete experience.”
"I am excited for the opportunity to experience collegiate athletics from the conference perspective while supporting the outstanding student-athletes and member institutions that embody Division III,” continued Colligan. “I am incredibly grateful to Commissioner Katie Boldvich and the Landmark Conference staff for this opportunity, and I look forward to learning from experienced leaders, continuing to grow professionally, and contributing to the conference throughout the coming year."
Colligan joins the conference after earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Montclair State University in 2025. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Sport Administration at Montclair State, with an anticipated graduation date in May 2027.
A member of the Montclair State softball program, Colligan brings an experienced background in collegiate athletics and athletics communications to the league. While at Montclair, she served as a communications intern for the athletics department, supporting the Sports Information office with communications initiatives while also gaining experience in game day operations. She also managed the softball program’s social media presence, creating content that highlighted the team and its student-athletes.
“We were fortunate to have an outstanding pool of candidates for this year's internship, which made the selection process incredibly challenging. Molly's experience as a Division III student-athlete, combined with her work in athletics communications and game operations, gave her a strong foundation, but it was her personality, professionalism, and enthusiasm that truly stood out,” stated Landmark Commissioner Katie Boldvich. “It was clear throughout the process that she would be a great fit for our office and our member institutions, and we're excited to welcome her to the Landmark Conference as this year's Mary Beth Spirk Intern.”
Beyond her communications experience, Colligan served as an assistant coach with Monroe Thunder Softball and Wolfpack Travel Softball, volunteered with Sammy’s Hope Animal Shelter, and worked as a student handler for Team Pebbles at Montclair State.
As the Mary Beth Spirk Intern, Colligan will assist the Landmark with communications, championship administration, website management, social media, and other conference initiatives throughout the academic year.
The Mary Beth Spirk Internship honors the legacy of former Moravian University Director of Athletics and Head Women’s Basketball Coach, Mary Beth Spirk, whose passion for collegiate athletics, student-athlete experience, and mentorship left a lasting impact on the conference and membership. The internship aims to provide aspiring collegiate athletics professionals with hands-on experience while continuing Spirk’s commitment to developing the next generation of leaders.

What They Are Saying About Molly
I am thrilled to hear of the hiring of Molly for the Mary Beth Spirk Internship in the Landmark Conference office. I had the privilege of watching Molly grow as a student-athlete on the softball team at Montclair State University, as well as having her intern in our athletic communications office this past fall. Her passion, work ethic, eagerness to learn, and adaptability made her one of the best interns I have ever had. I have no doubt she will be fantastic in her new role and will grow into a tremendous professional. -
