Men's Basketball 4/15/2025 12:36:09 PM Catholic Athletic Communications Sean Neylon Named Third Academic All-American in Program History AUSTIN, Texas - Catholic University men's basketball standout Sean Neylon was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-America Third Team, becoming the third player in program history to receive the honor. Neylon is the first Academic All-America recipient since Louis Khouri in 2017 and joins Jeremy Borys ('97) as one of three all-time. Academic All-America Neylon, set to graduate with a degree in Accounting, sports a 3.64 grade point average while performing on the court at an All-America level. The Delaware native adds to a lengthy list of accolades, including NABC Third Team All-America, NABC First Team All-District, D3hoops First Team All-Region, Landmark Conference Player of the Year, and Landmark Conference Senior Scholar-Athlete. Despite playing just three seasons in Cardinal red and black, Neylon became the 49th player in program history to reach 1,000 points and finished 45th all-time with 1,034 points. Neylon put together one of the top shooting seasons in both program history and in the NCAA this season. The marksman shot 46 percent from deep while making 92 threes, good for the third-most in a season in Catholic history. Neylon finished seventh in the country in threes made and three-point percentage. Neylon is the 19th CoSIDA/CSC Academic All-American in Catholic University history.
