Catholic Captures Fifth Landmark Presidents’ Trophy, Secures Back-to-Back Titles

TOWSON, Md. – For the second consecutive year and the fifth time in program history, Catholic University has claimed the Landmark Conference Presidents' Trophy with a 10.52 average point total following the completion of the 2024–25 season.

The trophy is awarded based on a formula that rewards institutions for regular-season conference standings and results in Landmark postseason competition. The total points earned by each institution are divided by the number of Landmark sports sponsored, determining the average.

Catholic, which led the standings after the winter season, reached the Landmark postseason in every spring team sport, highlighted by a championship in baseball and runner-up finishes in softball and women's lacrosse. The Cardinals also made postseason appearances in men's lacrosse and men's and women's tennis, and both track & field teams placed in the top five at the outdoor championships, with the women finishing second and the men fourth.

The University of Scranton finished the year in second place with a 9.84-point average, maintaining its position from the winter standings. The Royals turned in a dominant spring, winning three team championships: men's lacrosse, women's lacrosse, and women's tennis. Scranton was also the runner-up in baseball.

Moravian University climbed to third place (9.00 points), jumping up a spot from its winter standing. The Greyhounds reached the postseason in every spring sport and collected titles in softball and women's outdoor track & field. Moravian also finished as the runner-up in women's tennis, made a semifinal run in men's tennis, and earned postseason bids in men's and women's lacrosse.

Susquehanna University finished in fourth with an 8.15-point average. The River Hawks advanced to the semifinals in men's lacrosse, women's lacrosse, and softball, and earned a spot in the men's tennis postseason. On the track, Susquehanna shined with a championship in men's outdoor track & field and a fourth-place finish on the women's side. The River Hawks also notched a third-place showing in women's golf, marking the program's highest-ever finish at the Landmark Championships.

Drew University completed its steady climb through the standings, finishing the year in fifth place with 6.93 points. After starting in seventh following the fall season and rising to sixth in the winter, the Rangers capped the year with a spring season that included a Landmark title in men's golf and a runner-up finish in men's tennis. Drew also made postseason appearances in softball, women's tennis, and men's lacrosse.

Elizabethtown College secured sixth place with 6.77 points, bolstered by a spring that included a runner-up finish in men's lacrosse, a semifinal appearance in baseball, and a postseason berth in women's lacrosse.

Juniata College finished seventh (4.57 points), highlighted by a semifinal appearance in women's lacrosse and postseason berths in both men's and women's tennis.

Wilkes University placed eighth with 4.45 points, qualifying for the Landmark tournaments in both softball and baseball during the spring season.

Goucher College came in ninth (4.10 points) and celebrated a spring highlight by winning the men's tennis championship. The Gophers also reached the semifinals in women's tennis.

Lycoming College rounded out the standings in tenth place with 3.33 points, earning a postseason appearance in baseball.
