TOWSON, Md. – Elizabethtown College will host the 16th Annual Landmark Conference Summer Research Symposium on Thursday, July 10. The event will bring together undergraduate student-researchers from the Landmark Conference's 10 member institutions to showcase the outcomes of their summer research collaborations.
The Summer Research Symposium is one of the most meaningful touchpoints we have each year," said Katie Boldvich, Commissioner of the Landmark Conference. "It's energizing to see our students step into a professional setting, proudly sharing research that's both rigorous and deeply personal. This event is a testament to the academic excellence and collaborative spirit that define the Landmark, and we're grateful to Elizabethtown for creating a space that celebrates both."
A signature academic initiative of the Landmark Conference, the Summer Research Symposium offers students the opportunity to present their work in a professional setting while connecting with peers and faculty from across the conference. Presentations will be delivered in both oral and poster formats, representing a wide range of academic disciplines.
"Elizabethtown College is excited to host this year's symposium," said Susan Mapp, Associate Provost for Institutional Effectiveness and Innovation and Professor of Social Work at Elizabethtown. "This event provides an excellent platform for students conducting summer research to share their work in a professional environment. We anticipate welcoming approximately 150 students, faculty mentors, and colleagues. The highlight of the summer is always seeing how students grow professionally and contribute meaningfully to their disciplines."
The Landmark Conference Summer Research Symposium rotates annually among member institutions. This year marks the second time Elizabethtown College has served as the host.
