TOWSON, Md. – The Landmark Conference will co-sponsor a WeCOACH regional workshop on October 6 at George Mason University's Johnson Center Building. The Landmark joins fellow conferences Atlantic 10, Big East, Patriot League, and United East in supporting the event.
The event is in conjunction with National Coaches Day and is designed to elevate professional growth through networking opportunities and discussions on critical issues that impact the coaching profession, while offering best practices for navigating challenges successfully.
"The Landmark Conference is proud to stand with other respected regional partners in sponsoring this WECOACH workshop. Supporting the growth of women coaches and administrators is not only valuable for our league, but essential to the future of our profession," stated Landmark Commissioner Katie Boldvich. "We're glad to be part of a day centered on learning, connection, and empowering women leaders in sport."
The Landmark is committed to championing and advancing the careers of its members, and is proud to sponsor up to 100 conference women's coaches and administrators to attend the workshop.
In addition, the conference provided unlimited WeCOACH memberships for all Landmark institutions, ensuring every coach can take advantage of the program's benefits.
An active WeCOACH membership is required to register. Coaches who are unsure of their login information should contact their Senior Woman Administrator or Athletic Director to be added to their institution's roster.
While priority is given to coaches who register, workshops are also open to administrators, allies, and industry professionals. Registration includes breakfast, lunch, and a networking happy hour for all attendees.
"It is so exciting to be a part of a conference that is co-sponsoring this WeCOACH workshop," said Meghan McDonogh, head women's lacrosse coach and Senior Woman Administrator of Catholic University. "The opportunity to learn and hear from other coaches in our backyard is incredible, and to know that our conference is committed to supporting women in the coaching profession means a lot, too. As a former student in the Women's Coaching Academy, it is also exciting to now serve as a panelist in one of these smaller workshops."
"I'm excited to be part of the Landmark Conference as it partners with WeCOACH to co-sponsor the WeCOACH DC Regional Workshop," echoed Goucher College Director of Athletics, Stephanie Johnson. "Opportunities like this—tailored to support and elevate women coaches and administrators at my level—are rare, and I'm grateful to be in the room, learn and grow from those around me."
Interested attendees can find additional details in their email, including instructions for registering with the Landmark's unique login, which will waive the registration fee.
