Landmark Announces Athletes of the Week

TOWSON, Md. - The Landmark Conference has released the Athletes of the Week. The conference will recognize a student-athlete for each sport based on their contributions to their team throughout the season.

For the winter season, men's and women's basketball will be announced on Monday, followed by swimming and diving, and indoor track and field on Tuesday.

  • Men's Swimming Athlete of the Week: Jake Brunetti (University of Scranton)
    Brunetti delivered an outstanding week for the Royals, playing a key role in Scranton’s victories at the Wilkes/Lebanon Valley tri-meet and a road win at Elizabethtown. At the Wilkes tri-meet, Brunetti had a first-place finish in the 100 freestyle (48.92) and strong relay contributions throughout the meet. Brunetti followed that performance with another elite showing at Elizabethtown, capturing individual victories in both the 100 backstroke (55.48) and the 100 freestyle (48.87). He also contributed to relays.
     

    Women's Swimming Athlete of the Week: Emma Miller (Wilkes University)
    Miller was the top diver of Wilkes' tri-meet against Scranton and Lebanon Valley over the weekend. In the one-meter dive, Miller won the event with an NCAA Regional qualifying score of 263.05, and then she won the three-meter dive with a 227.85.
