IRVING, TexasThe National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame (NFF) has announced the 178 semifinalists for the 2025 William V. Campbell Trophy®, and two Landmark Conference standouts are on the list: Braedon Hart of Lycoming College and Jared Jenkins of Moravian University.

2025 Announcement

Celebrating its 36th year, the Campbell Trophy® is considered college football’s premier scholar-athlete award. It honors the absolute best in the nation for a rare combination of academic excellence, athletic performance, and exemplary leadership. This year’s pool of semifinalists, representing all NCAA divisions and the NAIA, boasts an average grade point average of 3.60.

“This year’s 178 semifinalists represent the very best of what it means to play college football, said NFF Chairman Archie Manning, whose sons Peyton (a Campbell Trophy® winner) and Eli were both NFF National Scholar-Athletes.They have excelled in the classroom, distinguished themselves on the field, and proven to be leaders in their communities.”

The NFF will announce 12–16 finalists on Oct. 22. Each finalist will receive an $18,000 postgraduate scholarship as part of the 2025 NFF National Scholar-Athlete Class Presented by Fidelity Investments. Finalists will be recognized at the 67th NFF Annual Awards Dinner on Dec. 9 at the Bellagio Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, where the winner of the 36th Campbell Trophy® will be revealed live and awarded a $25,000 postgraduate scholarship.

“Our program is honored that Jared has been selected as a Campbell Trophy Semifinalist," said Moravian Head Coach Jeff Long. His contributions to our university in the classroom, in the campus community, and as a teammate are second to none. I am so proud of Jared and look forward to watching his future successes in life.”

“One of the most remarkable things I can say about Braedon is that even though he missed the last three games last season, all of which were conference games, he was still voted Second Team All-Conference," stated Lycoming Head Coach Mike Clark. "He is everything you need in a center – big, physical, and smart. A lot of people were excited when Braedon decided to come here because of the career his father had here, and Braedon has certainly lived up to that legacy.”

First awarded in 1990, the Campbell Trophy® adds to the prestige of the NFF National Scholar-Athlete Awards Presented by Fidelity Investments, which began in 1959 and celebrates its 67th year in 2025. To date, the NFF has recognized 938 student-athletes and distributed more than $13.2 million in postgraduate scholarships.

Candidates are nominated by their schools, which may submit only one nominee. Nominees must be seniors or graduate students completing their final year of eligibility in 2025, hold at least a 3.2 GPA, demonstrate outstanding football ability, and display strong leadership and citizenship. Selection is made by the NFF Awards Committee, a nationally respected panel of media, Hall of Famers, and athletics administrators.

The Campbell Trophy® has honored some of the game’s most accomplished players, including Rhodes Scholars, two Heisman Trophy winners, and nine first-round NFL draft picks. Since 2013, the trophy has been permanently housed at the New York Athletic Club, where the winner is recognized annually during a special luncheon.
