The Presidents' Trophy was created in the inaugural year of the conference to recognize the best overall athletics program. The Trophy is awarded based on a formula that rewards institutions for regular season conference standings as well as results in Landmark postseason competition.
- Points are assigned based on the regular season standings and the number of teams competing in each sport
- The first place team would always receive 15 points, and the last place team would always receive 1 point
- Individual sports without regular season standings would use the championship results to determine points earned
- Any ties in the standings should receive the same amount of points. The average amount of points shall be distributed to each team
Bonus points are awarded based on competition in the Landmark playoffs. The Landmark Championship team earns five bonus points, the runner-up earns three bonus points, and the semifinalist earns two bonus points. The remaining two playoff teams earn one bonus point each.
At the end of the year, the total number of points would be divided by the number of conference sports each member sponsors in order to determine that institution's score, and the final standings.
